Some people have no chill at all. And if you find my commentary so wrong and offensive, why is my video still up on YouTube and why were all the comments on the video prior to Season 2 Episode 13 airing a couple days ago positive and in agreeance with what I said? Ugh, but then I just realized that monster goo Belos is now with him…my boy really cannot catch a break, huh? What a wasted opportunity! I will definitely be holding on to those Season 3 specials for dear life! Now it is time to continue with this review:. Evaluation: Simone did not interpret her outfit correctly whereas Jessica did.
Owl house hunter
Hunter , formerly known as the Golden Guard , is a major character of The Owl House , being originally depicted as an antagonist. He was the right-hand man of Emperor Belos and the former head of the Emperor's Coven. Hunter was presumed to be the nephew of Belos and as such, he was dedicated to his cause of ending all wild magic in the realm, but in reality, he is the latest version of the Golden Guard clones created by Belos to serve him faithfully in his mad quest. Upon this discovery, and realizing he can never go back, Hunter abandons Belos and the Emperor's Coven altogether. Following his desertion, Hunter relocated to Hexside School of Magic and Demonics in order to hide from the Emperor's reach. There, he found acquaintances in Hexside's students, and after coming to terms with his identity, Hunter made it his goal to help them stand against Belos' plan to wipe out the Demon Realm. Hunter, like many of the Golden Guards before him, was created with the likeness of Belos' late older brother, Caleb Wittebane. He has a fair complexion, a slightly hooked nose, dark magenta eyes, thick black eyebrows, a gap between his front teeth, bags under his eyes, and ash-blond hair that is shaved below the top, with a long, jagged forelock. He has a notch on his left ear and scars on his right cheek, upper left arm, two on his right kneecap, forming an X-mark, and one on his left calf. He is described as scrawny by Amity in " Eclipse Lake ". While staying in the Human Realm, Hunter had his hair and forelock trimmed by Willow, giving him short bangs. When Belos possessed him, parts of Hunter's skin, left ear, and face became basil-green that spread to his arms, turning them into the ones of Belos' corrupted form while also gaining the blue eyes and antler-like horns of the latter. His hair also grew longer, which restored his forelock bang. After being healed from Flapjack's sacrifice, Hunter received tissue scarring in the areas Belos corrupted and his eyes became brown. During his time in the Emperor's court, Hunter wore an ivory hooded cloak with a golden triangle clasp, like other members of the Emperor's Coven.
They are shown to tease one another, with Luz purposefully annoying and egging on Hunter throughout the episode.

After becoming the head of the Emperor's Coven , the Golden Guard acts as the main enforcer for Emperor Belos and antagonist to the residents of the Owl House. However, a chance encounter with Luz Noceda and the meeting of a mysterious palisman named Flapjack , who chooses Hunter as his partner, gives Hunter a new perspective to life outside the Emperor's Coven. This soon culminates with Hunter learning the truth of his origins.
He is just going about certain things wrong. Yet accepting this change takes time, and is often a terrifying thing to comprehend. He spares a palisman whom he bonds with and learns that people can just be good. His heart at the end of the day is what people really attach themselves to, and Hunter has a really complex, layered, and nuanced identity that people really like about him. While Robinson is used to active fandoms thanks to roles in shows like My Hero Academia, Pokemon, and the upcoming Digimon reboot, the rampant enthusiasm behind The Owl House still took him by surprise. This was always the intention, with the show consistently leaning into its anime influences and desire to deliver a deeper narrative.

The Owl House centers itself around several outcasts bonding. Over time, Hunter shows not only his passion for magic but also fully comes to terms with how the Emperor has abused him. Hunter carries a lot of weight in just his existence. Belos spent every conversation with Hunter emotionally manipulating him - isolating him from witches his age, forcing him to practice physically grating training, and making him compete with everyone he meets for any affection. Not to mention he watches Belos murder palisman to survive daily and also the physical abuse. However, Hunter is not a witch nor a human - he is a grimwalker. Mind you, Belos killed Caleb for falling in love with a witch.

Since then, Hunter has shown himself to be much more temperate and open towards others, no longer being afraid of receiving affectionate physical contact and finally entering into a relationship with Willow. This social ineptness also gave him a very limited grasp on how to have fun and understanding others' feelings, as he initially associated fun activities with Belos' brutal training methods for coven scouts and was unable to comprehend why others his age would object to joining the Emperor's Coven despite having to be separated from their families and essentially become prisoners. He has a notch on his left ear and scars on his right cheek, upper left arm, two on his right kneecap, forming an X-mark, and one on his left calf. They have an unknown past history, which is implied to be negative as Lilith was shown to be jealous of, and to hold a form of contempt against Hunter, calling him a "brat" in "Separate Tides" and attempting to throw away his poster when Luz asked her about him. They arrive in the Human Realm during a rainstorm as Luz tries and fails to get back to their friends. After Belos, while possessing him, grievously injured Flapjack, Hunter regained control. Despite being raised to believe he was a witch, he was unable to cast magic; the false reason given was he was from a family of powerless witches. AND for them to actively try to cheer the group up by bringing them some food from the Healing coven was so thoughtful! Episode 2. In "Eclipse Lake", he disguised himself in a standard Coven Scout uniform during his excursion to the Knee.
