Fans were left heartbroken to discover that Ty Borden, the mainstay and one half of the ever resilient Ty and Amy, has died. For good this time. However, that leads me to question; did the right good thing come to an end? Since , the show has revolved around these two characters. Characters such as Kit, Chase, Blair and Ahmed became almost despised by fans for ruining the happy couple, though some of these characters were worse than others. Though this started to become old and finally when the two would get back together, it became a question of if Amy and Ty could withstand the test of time, unlike almost every other relationship in the series. But it became clear as time went on they were in it for the long haul and nothing was ever going to split them up again. They had their happy ever after, they had their daughter Lyndy, after years of hard work they fulfilled a dream of starting a business together and were building a family home. So that begs the question; if such a long running show has gained popularity and longevity based off of a relationship between its two main characters , should the show still continue if one character can no longer be there? I honestly believe no.
