This is a story about the love story of Tanjiro, the son of the wealthiest and successful businessman in the country and Kanao, a simple girl who works for him as his new assistant. Tanjiro x kanao upon a time, there was a land which was shared by four kingdoms. Each kingdoms has their own benefits and problems. But they lived happily and peacefully nonetheless.

Tanjiro and Kanao met for the first time on the Final Selection Exam, being two of the five only survivors. However, they never arrive to interact there, and both of them set off separately. After Kagaya Ubuyashiki orders to capture both siblings alive, she stops attacking her and is seen helping the Kakushi to rescue the injured people. After Tanjiro's trial and Shinobu's decision to keep him on the Butterfly Estate, Tanjiro sees Kanao surrounded by butterflies and quickly recognizes her as the girl from the Final Selection Exam. After Aoi Kanzaki guides him and his escorts inside the place, Kamado stares at Tsuyuri and she does the same.

When Kimio discovers a demon with time travelling abilities, she tries to go back in time and save her sister from an early grave. Tanjiro says that she should follow her heart, and then he flips the coin for her, saying that the result would determine if she should listen to her heart or not from now on; since the coin lands on heads, meaning that she will be able to make her own decisions, Tanjiro gets happy and grabs Kanao's hands to say her that now she can live the life she desires. The Demon Slayer Corps teeters in the edge of doing the same. Kanao tells him that the tree is called "victory" and she wants to tell it that they have won. With Japan no longer plagued by demons, Tanjirou and Nezuko are able to live a peaceful life together. At somepoint after the final battle with Muzan, Tanjiro and Kanao took a picture with the former members of the Demon Slayer Corps. What happens and will the others still accept them as what they've turned into?
