Smite season

Best teams throughout Season X have qualified to this event.

For the current Leagues check the Ranked page. For information about the previous Leagues see Pre-Season League. Each season is broken up into several 2 month Rounds. At the end of each Round, players who have played atleast 10 matches recieve rewards, such as icons and badges, based on their placement in the League. At the end of a Season, players receive greater rewards based upon their placement. As you win League games, you earn Tribute. After earning Tribute, your next win will advance you up into a new Division.

The new map is resplendent in Babylonaian architecture — the work of Tiamat reshaping the world. And it features new gameplay mechanics, like base gates and scorpion monsters. Best of all: For the first time ever, this Conquest map will be living — players can expect the map to change quarterly throughout the season. The other major highlight of Season 8 is a complete revamp of the Starter Item system. Even better: Each of the 16 new starter items can be upgraded into one of two unique forms once reaching level 20; will your Sands of Time become the Pendulum of Ages, granting more mana and power, or The Alternate Timeline, giving you a second life?

Season 9 for Smite is coming in hot following the official announcement of Shiva the Destroyer being added to the roster in February. However, before Shiva can arrive, patch update 9. The major highlights include a relic rework, glyphs to specific items, and several changes to many of the maps, such as Conquest, Arena, and Slash, the new game mode. The relic rework will be adding a depth of diversity to the many relic choices. Traditionally, each relic had an upgraded item. But now, the relic rework system adds a pair of final choices for players to select, further upgrading them on top of the already enhanced version. For example, after you upgrade Aegis, you can choose to further augment it into an Aegis of Acceleration or Aegis of Judgement. The former allows you to move while in this mode, while the latter upgrade has it so then you can move while in this form, but you explode, dealing damage to enemy gods. The glyph item system adds a series of tier four items to many iconic tier three.
