Setting out from the trailhead, the path enters under the thick canopy of the forest and follows closely alongside the flowing waters of the creek. As you make your way past moss-covered trees and other types of vegetation, you will feel the trail climb slightly uphill.

This trail is great for running and walking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are March through October. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. Lower portion of trail is paved, upper portion is dirt. Plenty of stairs between to cut it shorter or challenge yourself. Not well marked but we loved the hike! Some mud but not too bad.

This hike is longer than 10 km! Add there are lots of fun bridges to cross. Length 6. Was pretty muddy on a lot of the sections, but was still walkable especially with all the boardwalks and logs. Here, the creek flows through an interesting set of boulders and smaller rocks. These aren't huge water flow at thia time of year, but they are beautiful, especially the highest up one. Managed to get out in the fresh snow, and even for those who have done it before I would highly recommend giving it another go with it being a "white wonderland". Two of three members of our group were stung. This is not 3. It got a bit more arduous almost immediately after going under the highway, though. Nice trail but after Highway 19 on west side very rugged and wet. We took a refreshing dip at the last swimming hole, was a very nice day trip. We overall had a great time especially seeing all the hard work others have put into the trail with all the bridges and boardwalks made of the surrounding material.
