Elsewhere, a showery and cooler flow of winds will follow, with the bulk of the showers in northern and north-western areas. Some will briefly be heavy with isolated hail and thunder possible, accompanied by brisk and gusty winds. Some will turn wintry over higher elevations, mainly in Scotland.
