Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool failed to regain top spot in the table after being held to a draw by Everton in the Merseyside derby. The entertaining stalemate at Goodison Park leaves Jurgen Klopp's side one point behind defending champions Manchester City with just nine games of the season remaining. Mohamed Salah came closest to breaking the deadlock just before the half-hour mark after being sent clean through on the right, but the Egyptian narrowed the angle too much and Jordan Pickford made a good save. Salah was also denied by a superb tackle from Michael Keane in the second half and Lucas Digne did likewise to prevent Fabinho breaking the deadlock, while at the other end Bernard was inches away from connecting with substitute Richarlison's dangerous ball across the six-yard line. Elsewhere, Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers also suffered disappointment on his Premier League return as his first game in charge of Leicester ended in a defeat at Watford.
