This is a Large Aztec Death Whistl e and measures approximately 5 inches tall and weighs about 1lb 8 oz. This item is reconstructed from ancient examples discovered by INAH archeologists found in a tomb dedicated to the wind energy Ehecatl in the archaeological area of Tlaltelolco Mexico. This whistle might of been used by Mesoamerican tribes to intimidate the enemy on the battle field, in funerary procession of elite warriors also in honor of the ancestors like modern day, Dia de los Muertos, Day of the Dead.
