This is my first time playing Super Mario Sunshine and I beat the pachinko level in about 5 minutes with little difficulty. I even died the first time after missing the shine and had to get all the red coins again but it was still only about 5 minutes between both the failed and the successful attempt. I've heard this level is notoriously difficult and I've seen videos of people struggling with it a lot but I thought it was pretty short and straightforward. Did they fix it for this version or what? Can anybody who has played the original version confirm if it's easier now? It plays exactly the same way it did before. Some people just struggle more with it for some reason. I beat it in about minutes and ran into the same issues I'd run into in the past, but overall it wasn't really bad at all. That said, I'd played it before, so I already knew how to work with the somewhat wonky physics to land on each of the coins. I just did it - it's the exact same.

I was specifically dreading playing a few key levels that I remembered being awful and that I had seen shared opinions of online. They were the infamous lily pad level which is about as bad as I remembered it , the watermelon level which I did easily, but mostly because I knew what to expect , and the topic of this article: the Pachinko level. I remember being so intensely angry and frustrated at this level when I was young. It looked cool, being what I thought was a pin-ball machine, but it made me rage quit. Since then, I remember how hard a time Arin from the Game Grumps had when he played it. It was the most angry he got throughout their entire playthrough of Sunshine.

Imagine my surprise when I was able to get through it remarkably easily. Without it, I was able to explore and play with the level and figure out what I was supposed to do. The level seems to understand the physics pretty well.

Birdo deserves a bigger role in the Mario series! That hardest one to get is the highest leftmost. Some people just struggle more with it for some reason.
