Missionary Greg Williams escapes after being kidnapped by members of the terrorist group Abu Sayyaf and tortured for 13 days. After high school, Jake hitchhikes to Mexico from his home in Beaumont, Texas, and starts selling marijuana to make some extra cash. He meets Steve, a tourist from Houston, who wants to buy a large supply. Paranoid that he might get ripped off, Steve brings a gun. The deal goes awry: Police arrive, Steve shoots the officers and Jake is shot in the leg by police. A random encounter with a family friend at the Bali airport was all it took to land Chris Parnell in jail and arrested on charges of smuggling 12 kilos of hashish. When Alex attempted to smuggle 33 pounds of marijuana out of Mexico, he was caught and sentenced to a prison, where he was surrounded by rapists and murderers. When Kahlilah met big-shot music producer Roy, she didn't expect that her life would change forever. Just months into their relationship, Roy forced her to smuggle 18 pounds of cocaine. A struggling single mother, offered a way out of her financial troubles by smuggling drugs, is arrested at the airport only to find herself pregnant and now in prison for five years.
