Abstract The aim of this research is to examine the views of prospective teachers regarding critical pedagogy in terms of various variables. The sample consists of prospective teachers determined by simple random sampling method. The data of the study were collected through " Principles of Critical Pedagogy Scale" which was developed by Yilmaz For the data analysis, descriptive statistics were used; and Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis test were used for non-parametric tests. According to the research findings, while prospective teachers showed the highest participation regarding critical pedagogy for the liberating school sub-dimension, the lowest participation was shown for the education system sub-dimension. Moreover, according to gender, class and department variables, there were differences in the views of prospective teachers regarding critical pedagogy.
