Home assistant supervisor missing
I am new to HA, and just installed a fresh copy of it. I am looking for the most home assistant supervisor missing that are available and after reading all the documentation, I thought the method of install I chose would give that to me. I have k.y.hiro small form PC running Windows 11 and installed virtual box and downloaded the VDI file and installed it using the instructions found on the HA site. Windows - Home Assistant.
I had the same question and have been confused with all the online guides and documentation that refer to past interfaces. Your answer was super helpful. I must be dense. I have the latest HA via a Docker installation. Things move so fast that any tutorial on YouTube becomes obsolete in pair months.

Mostly, Supervisor add-ons have some pre-configuration, so they work with core and other add-ons. Do you know the configurations I have to make, when I make it with a separate Docker container? But you recommend to get it work with Supervisor? I used to use a docker install for HA and it varies between applications. Supervisor and HAOS can be a bit restrictive, they try to lock some stuff down to make it easier for people who want plug and play, more reliable and easier to support, so do the add-ons. Anyhow, I use Supervisor now, 'cos I have less time to fiddle, I get what a need and most of what I want anything else I do without. I see threads quite a bit about the Supervisor or OS auto-updating and failing or it causes a breaking change so users need to jump thru hoops to fix it.

However, now I would like to install an addon that requires me to add a repository. I have found several instructions that say you should go to supervisor. There is no such entry in my menu. In fact I clicked a link that should have taken me to that spot in my menu l ike this one for version and failed. There are so many different instructions and UI versions, I have no idea what to do. I looked into the spot where it is installed and I did not see the repository.
Did anyone figure out where the heck supervisor mode went? And these developers call themselves Open Source. Is there already a solution for this? I have a Settings menu on the left with a gear icon. Clicking shows the Settings page and there is an Addons option. Head over to the add-on store to get started! However since im rlly new myself 4 days now , i think it depends on the installation version. As far as i was able to see there should be a blue button in the bottom right corner which will open the addon-store.

Hello everyone! Is it possible to recreate it or do I have to reinstall the whole HA? Literally just wait like 30 seconds. The host watchdog service will recreate it and start it again.

I looked into the spot where it is installed and I did not see the repository. Repository missing? Is Configuration now Settings? I looked on the side panel and in the integrations, it said I need to manually install it.
