By jalisco. Personally, I don't really care for story, and tbh I rather do without it. I hate when stuff is gated behind it -- that is usually the only reason why I let myself get dragged down that road. Is there anything that is really nice gated behind any of the Living World content, that I cannot get anywhere else?? I guess that is the question. I have read that I could just use the gems to get the Living world seasons, and even get them on a seasonal sale if I so desired. And in my honest opinion. Living season is something that is a necessary and great addition to this game. Livings Season adds a main story line, so its not just a random DLC, it is actually a true contination of the story. Some legendary gear and a lot of skins are locked behind the living season as well as 2 mounts. Edit: if they go on sale again is a big question. You can wait until you reach the story to buy the next living story.

I think the expansions will be on sale cause of 10years anniversary. While I do not regret buying the pack at all, i have spent a decent amount of gems that i got already to unlock season 4 content. Posted September 13,

I still lacked HoT and EoD so i decided to bulk up my money and also get some extra gems. Since then I've found out that if i would have bought the Collection Ultimate edition on steam i would have gotten all the ingame Season content included in the purchase, which i have not gotten by buying it on the official website. While I do not regret buying the pack at all, i have spent a decent amount of gems that i got already to unlock season 4 content.

You get 3 expansions and the Living World stuff that easily have equivalent content of a couple of extra expansions. So I'd say they're quite useful even if you're not interested in the story itself. Expansions opens up features like gliding, mounts, and the elite specs for classes, which most endgame builds use heavily. Don't buy into the gems trap, you can get those in hour of gameplay if you know where to farm gold to convert them to said gems. Ahh, my bad. If u plan to play the game for a long time yes. Skins have little to no value since you can buy the elements from the "collector" edition with said gems that you get with gold. I mean if you're really invested in the game.
