After a few years in a busy conventional practice in the US, she completed her acupuncture training and joined the team at the Edmonton Holistic Veterinary Clinic in Marshall believes deeply in the importance of the human-animal bond and continuous learning to elevate the quality of veterinary practice. She has now obtained a certification in Animal Hospice and Palliative Care and looks forward to developing a network of support for these patients and their human caregivers. She loves Edmonton and has always been a prairie girl at heart. McLachlan graduated in from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and spent the first few years of her career in small and mixed animal medicine. She then became intrigued with complementary medicine and has a series of credentials in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and osteopathy. McLachlan joined the Edmonton Holistic Veterinary Clinic team in and has a special interest in mobility and musculoskeletal cases and using Chinese Food Therapy in many of her cases. McLachlan is a proud mom of three daughters and has a sassy chihuahua, Rosie.

Jodie felt a strong connection and a sense of coming home when she first visited the Edmonton Holistic Clinic and it was with a tremendous sense of pride, gratitude and excitement that she joined the dynamic, compassionate and caring team in the fall of She is inspired by the clinic values, philosophy and practice of her colleagues. As a life longer learner, she is keen to refine her acupuncture skills and embrace the potential of herbal medicines while marrying with her background in cranial sacral based body work and a fascination with bio mechanics and movement. Jodie is particularly interested in preventative health, wellness routines and helping new puppies and kittens get off to a good start in life. She is keen to work with empowered guardians in collaborative fashion, loves listening deeply and leaning in when ever she hears something she has never heard before. Jodie recognizes the integral part pets play in families and how profound pet loss can be, and as such is interested in developing on going supports for clients during these stressful times. Outside of work, Jodie is the grateful mother to a nearly teenage daughter and can most often be found bare foot in the dirt or rolling up her sleeves on the acreage processing foods and enjoying the fresh air with daughter Addy, dog Bailey, cats Curious and George, ponies Heart and Indy and a collection of happy chickens and turkeys.
