It is a commodity market, and like other commodities, re-manufacturing requires uniform materials. That is why most recycling programs are moving away from the numbers and referring instead to the plastic container shape. There are consistent markets locally and regionally for plastic bottles, jugs, tubs and jars. Please recycle those. Unfortunately the numbers on plastics do not have anything to do with their recyclability.
