This product is in Mint condtion, has never been owned or even taken out of the box. The only reason it is no longer considered new is because it does not come with the power cable. As seen in the photos, the box is damaged as well, dbx go rack.

Had my first chance to use the GoRack at a gig this weekend. Review follows, first the context. My system is 1 or 2 depending on how many of us are there on a particular date condenser mics into a Carvin AG amp, with an extension cabinet when we want it. Amp and cabinet up on stands. Mics are used for all of the instruments no pickups and vocals. No monitors. This is kind of a loose application of the "one mic" approach, and I love it. We just lean in, lean out, and play together in a semi-circle, much like jam night back at the house. Because my mics need phantom power, the GoRack runs on the FX loop of the amp. This gig was about people packed into a square room. Birthday party. Three of us on various stringed instruments and vocals. People weren't there for the music, so there was a fair amount of background noise people talking, eating, drinking. The GoRack was, in a word, spectacular.

Once I had it dialed in to my liking, I set up my acoustic guitar and vocal mic and ran it through it's paces, dbx go rack. Bought it on a bit of a lark to try it out.

Now their DSP is available in a format that fits your pocket — literally! That looks set to change with the arrival of the diminutive goRack. In essence, dbx have filched some of the features from their DriveRack range, simplified them, and crammed them into a tiny metal box that sits in the palm of your hand. There are five buttons: four for the individual processing sections and one for mute. A further aux input allows for the connection of mobile music devices, with three routing options Mono, Stereo or Advanced that allow the processing to be bypassed for the aux input, or to be split in Advanced mode so that the aux input gets the sub-bass and EQ sections and the main input goes via the anti-feedback and compressor sections. Power comes from an included universal-voltage wall-wart adaptor. A pair of rotary controls sets the left and right input levels, and small signal-metering LEDs turn from green to amber and then red to warn of clipping. I was really impressed by the very simple operation of this little box. Active processing sections are denoted by their buttons being illuminated in red, and while the data wheel defaults to setting the output level, if you hold down any of the function buttons, its LED will flash, at which point you can adjust it, the value showing up in the display. Then you just press the button again when you have set the desired value.

The goRack listens for, anticipates and removes feedback automatically without altering your sound. It's very smooth and enhances things rather then overpowering and squashing the signal.
