My wife had booked this evening for her and a friend. Mid week our son was rushed to Cawley hotels and restaurants in Dundee and given his condition Sunday never looked probable. Money is not the issue here but rather than lose the deposit she hoped a family member may take up the booking, however not to be!

I normally always give places a second chance but for the prices being charged and the standard of food today I could not recommend this to anyone and will not be returning. The best thing on the plate cawley hotels and restaurants the cherries.

It was a very emotional day in Gartocharn on the 6th of June…After 32 years of trading firstly as the hugely popular Hungry Monk and for the last 11 years as The 5 star accredited House Of Darrach we have finally closed our doors to the public. Their continued success has meant an ever increasing team of maintenance and office staff all working very hard behind the scenes. The closure of the House of Darrach to the public has enabled us to give those teams some much needed new offices, storage space and parking for maintenance vehicles at Gartocharn. We are also now able to finally realise a longed-for dream of utilising the space for a long awaited staff training academy and central kitchen which will hopefully enable us to provide a more consistent service to our customers at all of our venues. As we begin a new chapter at Gartocharn, we would like to thank all the hard working staff who all contributed to the success of both the Hungry Monk and the House of Darrach over the years and in particular, we would like to thank all our customers past and present, for your continued support.
