This article is about the god. For the city, see Almalexia city. They knew her as the source of compassion, sympathy, and forgiveness, the protector of the poor and weak, and the patron of teachers and healers. She was also the most personable of the Tribunal and was well-known for walking among her people. As a living god, she became the Consort of Lord Vivec, [2] who associated her with the stars.
Almalexia
She was the wife of Lord Indoril Nerevar , and after the death of her husband, she, alongside Vivec and Sotha Sil , came to power amongst the Chimer, now known as Dunmer. Almalexia's public image was that of a nurturing and protecting mother-figure, kindly and just. But even before Dagoth Ur's return, her real personality—that of a powerful, serious, and ruthless leader and statesperson, resurfaced every now and then. Not much was known about her mortal days as the queen of the Chimer, but most likely she was instrumental in uniting the Great Houses and establishing House Indoril as the ruling one, and she was powerful even before her marriage to Nerevar. After the ascension of the Tribunal, she was the one who took her divinity the most seriously. After the loss of the Heart of Lorkhan , Almalexia kept becoming less and less of a mother-figure and more and more of a ruthless leader. The gradual loss of her powers caused her much grief and eventually resulted in paranoia and obsession with returning the old glory at all costs. Little is known of Almalexia's origins, but she was Indoril Nerevar 's queen and one of his most trusted advisors during the Chimer- Dwemer alliance in the early First Era. Her other names, the Healing Mother and Lady of Mercy, came from her being known as a source of compassion and sympathy, and her role as protector of the poor and weak. However, her compassionate nature did not prevent her from being a ruthless negotiator and leader, as well as a cunning warrior. She was an important symbol of Dunmer independence to those who resented the Septim Empire. She was considered to be the mother figure of the Tribunal Temple as she looked after, nurtured, and healed the Dunmer that worshipped her. Almalexia was strict; however, when they strayed from the doctrines of the Tribunal Temple, often sending her personal guard, the Hands of Almalexia, to bring them back into the fold violently if need be. Along with the Hands of Almalexia, she also controlled the Ordinators of the House Indoril and developed their beliefs that the weakness of the Tribunal during the Third Era was caused by a lack of faith and religious fervor among its people. In short: The city of Almalexia is going to be one of the last steps of the project, so there are no finalized plans as of yet. We are going to completely reimplement Tribunal content when we get to that point. In detail: We have not yet decided what form our revision of Almalexia will take. The current implementation looks and feels big, but it is rife with problems. One of the problems of Almalexia is the Mournhold as depicted in Tribunal, which makes little sense: while often thought to be a "forbidden city", it is instead shown as a suburb filled with outlanders, the temple of the goddess Almalexia is shoved in one corner with the palace of the Imperial king in the center, and there is no sign of Great House Indoril - which is supposedly dominant in the region.
It began with the War of the First Council after the Chimer uncovered a plot by the Dwemer sorcerer-architect Kagrenac to use the Heart of Lorkhan to construct the Numidium , a giant construct and a mockery of the Daedra and the Chimer faith and way of life. War ensued between the two races. Indoril Nerevar , leader of the Chimer, and Dumac Dwarfking , leader of the Dwemer, faced off in battle and were both seriously injured. Dumac is assumed to have died at the location, and Kagrenac disappeared along with the rest of the Dwemer when he used his tools on the Heart. Nerevar lived for a short time and sought out the counsel of his advisors Vivec, Almalexia and Sotha Sil, about what should be done with the Heart and Kagrenac's Tools. He left his close friend Dagoth Ur to guard the tools while he was gone. Nerevar and the Tribunal agreed to keep and study the tools and Heart of Lorkhan, but Nerevar's wish was that they should not use the tools for themselves. Nevertheless, they returned to the Dwemer citadel where Dagoth Ur was left on guard. They found him corrupted and unwilling to give up the tools to Nerevar and the Tribunal. Dagoth Ur escaped from the ensuing fight but was forced to give up the tools.

Along with her co-rulers, Vivec and Sotha Sil, she became a founding member of the Tribunal Temple, worshipped by the Dunmer people for centuries. The story of Almalexia is ultimately a tragic one. Cursed by a vengeful Daedric Prince, she would eventually inflict almost irreparable damage to her once-glorious reputation. As with any story, however, there are always a few interesting tidbits people miss along the way. The book also references the marriage between Indoril Nerevar and Almalexia. According to the in-game lore, Nerevar was supposedly working as a merchant caravan guard when he met Almalexia.
