Citizens of Humblewood who don't live in the city routinely journey there to trade goods, stock up on supplies, engage in artistic endeavors, or simply to catch up on the latest news and gossip. Effectively everyone in Humblewood is connected to Alderheart.

If you can help us with this wiki please sign up and help us! Alderheart is a major protagonist in the Warriors book franchise. He is the son of Brambleclaw and Squirrelstar and brother of Sparkpelt , as well as one of the current medicine cats of ThunderClan. He serves as one of the main protagonists of A Vision of Shadows arc, a supporting protagonist in The Broken Code arc and super editions Squirrelflight's Hope and Tigerheart's Shadow , a minor character in the super edition Graystripe's Vow and the novella Pebbleshine's Kits , and the tritagonist of the novella Daisy's Kin. Alderkit is born to Squirrelflight and Bramblestar alongside Sparkkit, Juniperkit and Dandelionkit, however Juniperkit dies soon after being born and Dandelionkit dies two moons later.

Several leaders meet in StarClan, next to the glittering lake. They talk about what comes next for the Clans, and how unprepared they are for the danger ahead. Rowanclaw attends, and Firestar asks why he came, while Blackstar adds that he's no longer a leader. The tom answers that he did it for the good of ShadowClan, and that his Clan must get their territory back. Firestar insists that SkyClan must stay, and Tallstar concurs. The ginger leader continues that the Clans must work together or all fall.

In the prologue, Alderheart has a vision of a dying medicine cat. Said medicine cat thinks she sees a cat called Frecklewish that is not there, and tells her Clanmates to "follow the blood trail in the sky", before dying. Her Clanmates mourn her and Alderheart hears them call her Echosong, and he realizes that this is SkyClan, and he knows they have to do something to help the lost Clan soon. He decides to tell Bramblestar about it, but doesn't think he'll get the chance until after the morning's battle. The main story starts in Twigpaw's point of view. All four Clans are gathered together on the border of ShadowClan's territory, ready to drive out the rogues which Darktail refers to as his Kin : they are following the newest rule in the warrior code, added during Bramblestar's Storm : that in times of need the Clans will stand together so that no Clan falls. Onestar doesn't seem too thrilled with it, blaming Rowanstar for the whole thing. They attack and the Clans seem to be winning, but during the battle Twigpaw notices Onestar and Darktail fighting.

Later during a gathering, he concludes that StarClan's silence is simply because there's currently no threats to the Clans. While walking, Needlepaw approaches Alderpaw and reveals that she overheard what he and Sandstorm were discussing. He is told that once he becomes a warrior, he'll be refreshing the scent markers on his own. Bristlepaw overhears him talking about his concerns regarding the Moonpool with Jayfeather, Bramblestar and Squirrelflight. While removing the ticks, Purdy tells him that every apprentice has had to do the chore at least once.

And you're young; you'll take care of the next generation of ThunderClan cats, just as you looked after Twigpaw. During a border patrol, they pass by the border to ShadowClan, and Alderpaw is asked if her can smell ThunderClan's scent markers. As the group follows Sandstorm's directions, they come across a hostile fox, but are then saved by Needlepaw. While helping him, Velvet grows close to the ginger tom as he learns about her life in twolegplace. Sparkpaw teases her brother and his mentor tells him to trust in his instincts while trying to tells him that it's okay that he messed up, but the attempt a reassurance only makes him feels worse. As he arrives, Shadowkit has another seizure, telling him he had the vision of drowning again. She tries to send him a sign that she's alright with a squirrel, but he doesn't seem to notice it. The two medicine cats agree to give Bramblestar some borage instead to make him colder, though their idea doesn't seem to work. Alderheart is younger and only in rare cases like Flametail has the medicine cat apprentice died before their mentor. He will serve his Clan well. Distraught by his sister's hostility, he goes to Leafpool for comfort, who tells him that he must accept SkyClan's fate, whatever it may be, but Alderheart refuses this notion. I don't want my boy Alderheart to die so young. When he asks to go with them, the leader declines, saying that Jayfeather will need his help in the medicine den. They then follow a stream to a group of cat they mistake for SkyClan, though soon find out from a real SkyClan cat Mistfeather - who was driven out of her home by the group - that they're a bunch of rouges calling themselves The Kin, lead by the bloodthirsty Darktail.
