Hello hello hello! Not me sneaking in one more review for September! It surprised me in a lot of ways and I was seriously debating on how to rate it at the end.

Many moons ago, when I was in college, I picked as many film courses as I was allowed, coz they were the coolest, and also, the funnest, and therefore, I got to watch a whole lot of movies as part of my curriculum. Film really was the coolest and the funnest, heh. Especially when we got to the part on animation and sat around watching cartoons together. Kinda the same thing with this show, for me, methinks. For the record, I watched 11 episodes of this show before calling it quits. Also for the record, I actually struggled with my watch from the get-go. Right away in episode 1, I found myself not jiving very well at all, with what Show was serving up. See what I did there? Admittedly this was not a great way to start off our relationship, but it is what it is. All the random and quirky stuff on my screen felt try-hard to my eyes, unfortunately. The sudden and very random appearance of Sae Woo with her fencing headgear on, leading her horse down the street.
I love the two male leads, wok of love reviews, most of the cast. Enjoyable even though the script doesn't have depth and sometimes doesn't make much sense. The Cutting Parts are the people in charge of cutting, so they have to know how to deal with different sorts of knives and the way different ingredients need to be chopped up in order to get passed on to the Fire Parts.
It was one of the most anticipated Korean dramas of , a lot of people are excited about it because it includes a star-studded cast both main and supporting. Along with everybody else I had high expectations for this drama which might be one of the reasons why I am so torn right now. A part of me really likes the drama and the other part of me really hates it, a lot of Korean drama fans have given up on it after seeing the first couple of episodes and I cannot really blame them for that. A part of me thinks that this is a Hidden Gem and the other part of me thinks that this is one of the most disappointing Korean dramas of I have to start by saying that the main reason why I continued watching this drama had nothing to do with the script but has everything to do with the characters. The main reasons why I think the drama might have disappointed many Korean drama fan is the sloppy script, there were also moments in the drama where I really hated the editing. The problem or my problem is not with the characters themselves, but the way the plot develops and the way the characters are introduced and the really messy messy atmosphere we were thrown in.

I believe that the actors themselves made the characters interesting. The stellar performances, witty dialogue, and delectable food scenes make it a standout in the world of kdramas. The gangster fights are exciting. I read that he plays a boxer who loses all his fame and fortune in one swoop, who then starts over with MMA, for the sake of his family. The funny thing is that I have no such problems with most similar jdramas. Well, unless I actually want to be, of course! See all related lists ». Oh my! Favourite Korean Dramas. Just brilliant in Carnivale. Looks like we are very much on the same page with this drama, Timescout!! Nothing else. It was revealed that Seol Ja came to Mrs. I love the two male leads, most of the cast.

She is credited on IMDb, which is nice. Anyways, I just mean to say that, while I was a bit worried that he might become this really obnoxious guy, even whilst being loyal to Chil Seong, I was actually positively surprised by how Maeng Dal turned out. Now I will have to relay my thoughts to the friend who recommended it to me, haha. I just really liked the bonds that were created once Hungry Wok became a successful business, and everyone that hated each other in the beginning started getting along better.
In it all charm!
