Lucia just got a stunning remodel — here's why it's worth a visit. Driving through the southernmost part of St. Lucia, I was immediately reminded of all the things I love about this part of the island: jungly mountainsides with pastel-colored homes and roadside bars; small corners boasting panoramic views of the emerald-colored ocean; tight-knit towns, like Dennery, that are producing some of the best soca music coming out of the Caribbean; and those iconic volcanic plugs — the Piton Mountains — that sprout from the sea.
