White Rhino will bring an open-air garden feel featuring a bar packed with next-level goodies and a restaurant featuring everything from breakfast to bar snacks and tapas to fine dining. So every single good thing there is in the world of food. With a capacity to seat around folks, it will be home to an elaborate waterfall bar feature along with lots of big old trees and plenty of lush greenery. White Rhino is set to offer a vibe unlike anything the Gold Coast has seen before and it may just transform the Surfers Paradise dining scene. The fitout is colourful and inviting with rattan-style furniture, wrought iron tables and raw concrete accents. Big bay windows open out into the street and we highly recommend choosing one of the corner tables because there are tan leather cushions that are as soft as can be and also, bulk people watching opportunities.

Food News. The lid has finally been lifted on one of the most significant new additions that Surfers Paradise has seen for quite some time. After months of anticipation, White Rhino has unveiled its multi-million-dollar two-storey dining space and bar, after softly opening its doors in the Circle on Cavill precinct earlier this week. While late-night venues may be in their blood, the owners have taken a sophisticated step into the dining scene with White Rhino, enlisting well-known local chef Adam Dundas-Taylor owner of Firecue in Nobby Beach to craft the breakfast, lunch and dinner offering. Think banana-caramel pancakes by morning, fregula and wild-rice salads for lunch and Moreton Bay bug linguine by night, all before getting acquainted with what lies behind the bar. The venue is complete with lush greenery, ceiling-high indoor trees, a running waterfall and life-like white rhinos, all for your viewing pleasure. A wrought-iron staircase leads you up to a lavish mezzanine level, featuring large velvet booths, hanging plants and pink-hued jungle-themed wallpaper — the perfect vantage point to capture the atmosphere below with an espresso martini in hand. Start with the sweet citrus and sesame-cured salmon with wafer-thin crispy ciabatta or the double-crumbed panko arancini balls with pumpkin, goats cheese and sage. Expect a lot of theatrics from behind the bar, with smoke-infused concoctions joining classic cocktails, tap beers, wines and spirits to keep you hydrated well after the sun sets. White Rhino is currently softly open to the public from lunchtime until late, with a limited menu.
