Index has this weird mechanic where you can win but still lose - the end screen still says "Victory" but if you don't win by a certain score you actually lose even when you have more points. This is already one of the worst things about Index when you're a new player. The Glast Gambit doesn't do this. First it introduces Index, and you win a mission just by scoring higher, which is confusing. But then you have one of the worst quest missions in the entire game: pay k a huge amount for a newer player at that point to enter 3 rounds of Index where if you get more than 10 points ahead you instantly lose. This is a major pain point, as you regularly kill more than 10 enemies and end up carrying so many points that if you touch the enemy goal you'll instantly lose the match. You can't drop the points without dying, and if an enemy picks up those points they'll wipe the timer and win instantly. You end up where the enemy is 1 or 2 points ahead as the timer runs out, but your teammate-spectres are running in circles and you're carrying more than 10 over and will instantly lose either way. You have 3 rounds like this, where if you're unlucky enough to pick up too many points you lose k and start again. After blowing over 1 million credits on this awful mission the first time I left this quest and forgot about it for 2 or 3 years. At that point I'd just reached Neptune and 1 million was more than half all the credits I had ever got in the game.
Fairly easy, but also completely unlike how Index works.
The Glast Gambit is an optional quest offered by Ergo Glast of The Perrin Sequence , which pits the Tenno against Nef Anyo 's schemes as they attempt to unearth the mysteries behind the people known as the Mycona Colony and the Infested. Completing this quest will reward the blueprint for the Nidus Warframe. Glast will relay to the Tenno the story of the Mycona Colony , whose inhabitants apparently thrive by harvesting material from the Infested. Nef Anyo however has taken not only the Mycona's resources, but also their children, with Glast showing the Tenno a recording from a child named Neewa , one of the kidnapped children. Before any rescue attempt can be made for the children however, Glast implores the Tenno to first defend the remaining Mycona colonists who are under siege from the Infested.
I let her decide. As Tenno,we know what it is like to have our choice taken away;I wasn't going to do to her what the Orokin did to us. Gotta respect that. It's like the perrin guy said, what right do we have deciding what's best for a completely different culture? Cured her. A child cannot make informed decisions about her future. The only way to give her an actual choice is to let her grow old enough to understand what she wants and who she is. The forced choice on this Quest has faulty logic. We have the Cure, which we made for Alad V, which can be used at any time. We can Cure her and any future Tri-whatsit after they do the Passing.

Unlike in previous matches, players must keep their score within the point Margin, e. Glast will relay to the Tenno the story of the Mycona Colony , whose inhabitants apparently thrive by harvesting material from the Infested. Go to topic listing. To celebrate your selfless deed, the Myconians have sent you their prized Old War relic. Read View source View history Purge. It is a pain for rushing amatuer unsatisfying people, who won't be able to advance further in themselves. Your team is left to their own devices. Fairly easy, but also completely unlike how Index works. I can say I played it several times and I don't recall ever failing. Unlike previous matches, players will not wager their own credits in the match, and will have the opportunity to regain , Credits , if they win. If the player manages to win this match, Nef Anyo demands a rematch, making lucrative offers to Glast as wagers, all of which are refused. This isn't unusual, you get Chroma's BP before Ceres, but can't build him without a Saryn neuroptics from Sedna's boss. Along the way, they come across the colony in a section of the ship that is untouched by the Infestation.
The Infestation is spreading. Begin your journey for the plagued powers of the New Warframe, Nidus by embarking on a quest to aid the Mycona Colony in the search of their lost children.
Hotfix At least the First and Seventh mission are not counterintuitive. As with the previous bout, players must win three rounds of 3 minutes in the Index each in order to win the mission. But Tenno, beware, not all is as it seems. I am now, too, but wasn't then. If it's the Anyo's players killing you, then you have to fight better or get help from other players. Speaking of failing the mission, the fifth match forces you to lose, as Nef Anyo will use a cheat kill the player, should he attempt to score this doesn't apply to Nef's brokers. You lose. I keep dying at the entrance when bringing the points to the goal , got no idea what to do and the Lotus tels me to keep playing while she scans or looks into that problem. You can't drop the points without dying, and if an enemy picks up those points they'll wipe the timer and win instantly. You could probably do something similar with Atlas' walls or any number of CC frames like the free Limbo you'd probably have at that point. Fixed improper enemy scaling in the colony portion of The Glast Gambit. Artensir Posted April 3, Your team gets smart, also scores points.
