Vega Trem VT1 Tremolo System for Stratocaster Guitars is a patented VT system based on two basic principles: the adaptation of the bridge dimensions to the existing standard cavity and the bridge pivoting system. Adapting the dimensions aims to allow the bridge to freely enter into the cavity of the guitar body by pulling the whammy bar back tensioning the strings and requires a redesign of the complete assembly saddles, plate and block. The pivotal center of action has been changed by adding a part fulcrum that replaced the traditional concept of support on screws, giving more amplitude to that movement. The shape of the point of support of the plate on the fulcrum has also been changed, minimizing friction — which is now practically non-existent. The result: a homogeneous action free of unwanted noise — which is very pleasing to the musical performance. It is recommended to use low friction nuts and locking tuners. Some years ago, the stock tuners were replaced with better quality Fender tuners. The stock bridge and block were replaced with a Fender American Vintage bridge and steel block. The factory pickups were replaced with a set of Fender Vintage Noiseless series one pickups, but last year I finally replaced those with a set of Lindy Fralin Pure 54s. These pickups made me want to play the guitar plugged in again. I kept the guitar and worked on it because in my hands, it feel just great, but those vintage noiseless were more like vintage toneless and I hated the sound plugged in. The Fralins made the guitar magical. I use the vibrato more as I try to build skill in using a vibrato like the great Jeff Beck.

Now you can forget about the drill drilling and disregard the idea that to put a tremolo on your Telecaster -style guitar you have to desecrate its precious and precious body.
