A Valheim feather cape can really help you channel your inner Viking as you explore what's new in the Mistlands update. It also prevents fall damage, which you'll realise is a pretty big deal if you've seen the new biome. It looks cool too, so what's not to love? If you are planning on traversing the Mistlands, a Wisplight is a good idea to help you see where you're going—as well as what might be chasing you—while a crossbow can be handy if you want to deal damage from a safe distance. Of course, none of that matters if you don't look the part so here's how to craft a feather cape in Valheim.

One of the more striking things about the new Mistlands biome in Valheim is its impressive peaks and valleys. While other areas have their own unique atmospheres and geography, not even the game's mountain biome can match the dramatic look of the Mistlands. Coupled with the mist that obscures large parts of this area, getting around the Mistlands can be a real challenge. Fortunately, the developers of Valheim have added in items to make life easier. One of the most essential of these is the Feather Cape, an item that can make climbing much easier. For those players looking to unlock this cape and craft it, this guide is here to help. The first ingredient is one of the easier ones to find and can be collected as drops from birds and randomly in chests. Scale Hides are drops from the Hares that have been added through the Mistlands update. These animals can be found all over the Mistlands biome. Refined Eitr is what makes this cape a challenge to gather. Sap can be extracted from Yggdrasil roots, while Soft Tissue is most commonly found within the skulls of Ancient Remains in the new Mistlands biome. Once a Feather Cape has been built, players can equip it similarly to other capes in Valheim and pieces of armor. At its base level, the Feather Cape weighs 4 units, adds 1 armor, and features resistance to frost.
I absolutely do not support any suggestion that forces us all to carry around additional items just to help some justify their desire to make a fashion statement.

I mean not before you get to the mist, but maybe something you can make early on without the need for the sap stuff? Basically, you'll need a Sap Extractor and an Eitr Refinery to collect this resource. Change language. Seems fine to me. Your best bet is to take them out with a bow or other ranged weapon. Even at level 2, it should wear off far more quickly than it does. Most Popular.
Jumping from a great height is bad for your health, even in the afterlife.
Capes are generally used as cosmetics in this game, but feather cape has too many advantages and so is a no-brainer right now. Lastly, imagine how many players would be complaining and ragequitting if they fell in mistlands without the cloak, and it is beyond a doubt a fact that players will fall in mistlands. Once you've beaten the cold why would you have to go back? Can't say that about mistlands and feather fall. Certainly more than any of the other capes. It also prevents fall damage, which you'll realise is a pretty big deal if you've seen the new biome. More about survival crafting. John View Profile View Posts. Having essentially all the gear trapped at the very end of the resource progression is brutal especially considering that most of the armor and weapons are very, very marginal upgrades over the existing plains gear. Since ML is the real beginning of magic in the game, and considering the heights and potentially lethal falls that are in the ML I go not see it OP, but a logical progression of the capes.
