The teams will be competing in a day season in Pune to determine the inaugural champions. Each team will face the other five teams twice in the competition and then will move on to the qualifiers. After the 30 matches in the league stage, the top four with the highest points will advance and play against one another in the qualifiers. The top two will face each other in the first qualifier to advance to the finals.
