Workday Student Vocabulary. First of all, the Workday system, a cloud-based platform, will be the anchor of our new student information system. The other two windows in the spaceship represent the other components that will work with Workday to comprise the entire Workday Student system. The middle window represents existing applications UBC currently uses that will work alongside Workday. Retrofit is when we will make changes to current applications so they will function optimally with Workday. An example is Scientia. Integrate happens when data needs to flow between the application and Workday. In this case, an interface that links the application and workday will exist. An example is Tuition Waiver. No Change means there is no technical change, but data changes may be required due to new terminology approved by UBC and used in Workday. Sunset applications are existing applications at UBC that will be retired.
