How do Toyota Tundra wheel adapters work? Not only the PCD conversion, but the Toyota Tundra Wheel adapters also have the conversion ability to install aftermarket rims with bigger hub diameter properly. Most originally equipped wheels are hub-centric in design. Hence, these OE wheels can be properly mounted and accurately balanced. But many aftermarket wheels are made with larger hub diameters. They are called lug-centric wheels. In this case, hub-centric Tundra adapters come to the aid of the proper installation. They have different outer and inner diameters in size to fit the hub to the required size, which exactly corresponds to the axle e. It transforms a lug-centric wheel into a hub-centric one.
