Treasure Hunter is a daily activity where players use keys to unlock chests in order to win prizes. It was released on 4 February where it replaced its predecessor, Squeal of Fortune. Players receive a certain amount of keys every day and may obtain more through other methods such as purchasing them or performing certain in-game activities. Each key unlocks a chest which rewards the player with a random prize where each prize has a varying degree of rarity. The release of Treasure Hunter saw the removal of Yelps and the addition of a new figurehead for the activity: a princess named Alice.

We've been continuing to improve and refine the Treasure Hunter experience over the past few years. Our last major update focused on adding more transparency, primarily through Probability Disclosures, but also by simplifying the experience and removing the near-defunct Hearts of Ice to focus on Oddments. With this update, our plan is to improve the overall experience, from updating the UI to removing limited daily sales while reducing Oddments pricing. One of the ways we'll also do this is by removing the conflicting layers of the Oddments Store and the multi-prize selection. This will then give us the opportunity to address some balancing issues caused by the conflicting systems, especially the most affected items such as Silverhawk Feathers, Proteans and Springs.
