Dutch Bros started in as a pushcart by the railroad tracks in downtown Grants Pass, Oregon. Dane and Travis Boersma left the dairy business to serve up espresso, rock their favorite music and make connections with their community. With the help of family, friends and loyal customers, Dutch Bros caught on and started growing. The expansion started in Oregon when the first franchise opened in , then quickly spread across the northwest. Today, Dutch Bros continues to grow and is dedicated to making a massive difference one cup at a time.

After a great deal of brainstorming and research, they started selling espresso from a pushcart in downtown Grants Pass, Oregon. Thanks to a commitment to the best customer service above all else and a lot of good music along the way, Dutch Bros Coffee has since expanded from that one pushcart in the center of town to more than drive-through coffee locations in seven states and over 9, employees. My dad worked on our dairy farm, which required constant strategic decisions in order to turn a profit. He also ran an RV dealership, and this showcased to me having a penchant to make extra money to provide for our family.

As a main competitor of Starbucks for coffee consumer dollars, Dutch Bros has become a true presence on the caffeine scene. From humble beginnings in the early '90s to a growing public franchise operating hundreds of locations in 11 states, Dutch Bros has found its place among the local cafes and coffee chains cropping up through the decades. A proven formula of tasty drinks and outstanding customer service has put these drive-thru broistas on the map. Dutch Bros may not have the kind of presence that Starbucks has, but they're doing their best to remedy that as quickly as possible.
