However, after having a walk around the anteroom I realised, much to my disappointment, that there were no visitors there. Maybe next time. The ritual went fine and when we got round to the salutations, we had the usual greeting from the Silent Six and other usual suspects, nothing out of the ordinary.
After most lodge meetings in this jurisdiction are ended, the officers and brethren will retire to the banquet room for what is often referred to as the Festive Board. I had heard of the importance of receiving visitors and so I thought I would make a special effort to be welcoming to any visiting brethren. Toastmaster and brethren; This evening I find myself a welcome visitor in your lodge.

We are now approaching the holiday season where we typically enjoy several year-end parties. For many Grand jurisdictions, it marks the end of the Masonic Year, and the birth of a new one. Knowing the festive atmosphere of such occasions I posted a request on the Internet soliciting favorite Masonic toasts. As usual, the Brethren responded generously.
