Tucked away amid the hustle and bustle of the upscale resort, the restaurant is set in a converted courtyard that feels like a secret garden. Shaded by two large almond trees adorned with fairy lights in the center of the courtyard, the decor is a tasteful mix of modern aesthetic and vintage glamor. Creeping vines scale the walls, mirrors reflect the soft lighting, and lush ferns complement the sandstone walls. The cool, relaxed nature of the space is reflected in the menu, designed by Chef Martin Davies. The restaurant specializes in comfort food with a twist, making for a laid-back dining experience where smart-casual attire is considered appropriate. Classic and some not-so-classic wood-fired pizzas are a popular staple on the menu, as is their signature Almond Tree burger. However, the Old Bay-seasoned shrimp served on creamy, cheesy grits is a firm favorite. Another highly recommended dish is the smoked Texan beef short rib. This slow-braised dish will certainly satisfy any meat lover. For those who prefer vegetarian meal options, the Fungi pizza is an ideal choice, served with lashings of truffle oil and parmesan. Decadently topped with grilled cheese, diners can wash their meal down with Indian pale ale sourced from the local brewery, Turk's Head Brewery. To complement the familiar-yet-unique menu options, the restaurant also offers an extensive wine list.
