From Gaza to the West Bank, Palestinian children are under attack. Even children who will survive to see the next ceasefire are traumatised and will live with debilitating memories for the rest of their lives. Terre des hommes, together with the International Federation of Terre des Hommes, is calling on world leaders to take immediate action after days of war on Gaza. We have said it before, and we say it again: No Palestinian child is safe. Whether they have lost a family member or friend, seen their home destroyed, been forced to leave their neighbourhoods, and seek refuge in temporary shelters, children in Gaza live in constant fear for their lives and their loved ones. Their whole existence is permeated by the earthshattering destruction and incomprehensible violence of war. As an international child rights organisation working in Gaza and the West Bank, we cannot accept the inaction of leaders in the face of the grave situation of children in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. This is why we are addressing a declaration to world leaders in order to accelerate efforts towards an immediate and lasting ceasefire. We demand an end to this war against children in Gaza, a situation that our team on the ground is witnessing day after day. Children are why our organisation exists at all, and the focus of our daily work, informing our mission, vision and values. Children inspire us, guide us, and constantly amaze us.

In India, Terre des Hommes Suisse is working in collaboration with 7 local ogranisations across 4 states in India. TdH Suisse operates through the National Coordination office based in Kolkata and has been functioning since s. Here, TdH Suisse is dedicated to improving the quality of life of children and young people, with a particular focus on access to quality education and protection from violence and exploitation. Its actions also aim to support the empowerment of girls and women, while building capacity of local communities to become actors of change. Thus, TdH Suisse is working to create an environment that is safe and conducive to the development of every child. RDA has been working over the past few years to bring changes in the life of the marginalised tribal children and young people in 20 villages of East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand. Children are provided with opportunities to continue and complete inclusive quality education and digital learning. Young people are supported with knowledge and skill in computer education. The project is also empowering children, youth and other stake holders to promote education for sustainable development and to create a safe and protective environment for the children and youth to live in.

To combat exploitation, children are enrolled in schools, provided school supplies such as uniforms, books, bags and given access to quality education through activity based and digital learning. Children enrolled in school who have learning gaps are also enrolled in remedial classes to ensure age appropriate learning. Child brides who find it difficult to go back to school are enrolled for public exams as private candidates.
