Potions are commonly found in natural Chests and Pots , can be dropped by enemies , purchased from NPCs , or crafted. By pressing Quick Buff , Quick Heal , Quick Mana , the player can quickly consume respective potions buff potions, health potions, and mana potions from their inventory or open Void Bag Desktop, Console and Mobile versions , without actually opening their inventory. When quick using buff potions, only potions whose buff is not active will be consumed. All potion buffs including food buffs, but excluding flask buffs are lost when dying. One of the key aspects of preparing to go to Hard Mode is the defeat of the Wall of Flesh. However, there is an important thing that should be done beforehand that is required to move forward in Hard Mode after its defeat: the collection of Hellstone to allow for the crafting of a Molten Pickaxe.
