I love the concept of the Dolls of the World series, and there have been some fabulous dolls. I have a few of them — Ghanaian Barbie from that uses the Shani head mould and has a fabulous fashion, Princess of India from wearing a beautiful magenta sari, Princess of South Africa with her gorgeous dark vinyl and really interesting costume, Kelly Friends of the World as I had to get the pack with the Scottish boy, and Sydney Opera House Barbie. England and France seem to be the biggest stumpers. There have been a few France dolls dressed in can-can inspired dresses. A Google search throws up all kinds of interesting French national costumes, but no, can-can it is. England has fared slightly worse, with Princesses and a fairly non-descript, olde worlde-style riding habit.
