His conversations max out long before 9K affection, but that's probably because he's the last companion Troopers pick up. They're gated by class act and, in a few cases, by specific class events within an act. Most companions can be maxed out once you start Act 3. Khem Val, Kira Carsen, and perhaps some others need plot triggers in Act 3 or after the class storyline ends to complete their lines. There are a very very samll number of companions that you can complete the conversations with while in Chapter 2. Note: I didn't romance either Kaliyo or Corso so it is possible that romances get some extra dialogue that require you to be in Chapter 3. Existing user?

Companions follow you through your personal story in the Old Republic — they accompany you in battle, and they help you with crafting and gathering in the game. To get your first companion, simply follow the purple quests. You might be anywhere from level 3 all the way to level 10 or higher by the time you meet your first companion. Each class has five unique companions that you earn by playing your class quest, and you can speak to your companions as you progress through your story on your ship or in rest areas. In the past, you used to need to give your companions gifts so you could unlock more of their story, but now their stories are simply tied to your class quest progression, and as you finish your purple quests, new companion quests will usually show up when you head back to your ship. During the original stories, bringing along your class companions might trigger special dialogue during cutscenes or while wandering around the open world. You can view all your companions by pressing the N key on your keyboard, or by going to the Companions and Contacts section of the menu. If your companion is not with you, you can press the summon button beside their name in the Companions window. To dismiss a companion temporarily, right click on their companion portrait and choose dismiss. While in combat, most of the time you can set your companion to the role you want them to have and then focus only on your own abilities, letting your companion choose what they want to do during the fight by themselves. However, you can also manually control your companion a bit.

I was wondering if I need to complete the quests here to finish all my companion storylines or if I can finish them now without having to complete the planet?

By msbtbd November 23, in Suggestion Box. I would love it if the devs added some companion quests and new conversations we could have with them in between expansions. I'm not interested in PVP and other things that have no real story to them. I would love to be able to just have a conversation with Lana or Tau with dialogue choices that may or may not affect the story later on or go on a little adventure with Theron or any other companion. The companion conversations could happen during expansions a la KOTOR style where you're trying to get the next convo and are bugging the crap out your companion to the point where they get annoyed with you like jeez carth i love you let me talk to you and the quests could be in between expansions so the more story-focused players like myself can have a little fun and, more importantly, so our companions get a little love and attention. I would love that too, even having versions of them like with Jaesa dark side Ashara would be much appreciated. But there are 40 vanilla companions.

She can be obtained by both F2P and Subscribers as long as they reach level 1 in Galactic Season 3 and claim her as a Reward. It is recommended that you claim her on a character at least level 24 as her introductory mission takes place on Nar Shaddaa. She costs Cartel Coins to unlock in the Collections Window. With both expansions Bioware created some chaos regarding the class companions, not to mention all the new ones that have been introduced and recruited to the Eternal Alliance. The article may contain minor story spoilers, the links leading to videos and guides sure do contain huge story spoilers. Before we begin, I want to point out that this information below is based only on official sources, no data-mining, no guesses, no assumptions. Bioware has confirmed that there are plans for all companions to return in one way or another, but the how and the when cannot be revealed for all of them yet. The first part is about the Class Companions — who is missing, who has returned and how to get them back into your army. The second half of the guide is about all other companions coming from Alliance Recruitment and other special missions. The following paragraphs list all of the classic companions for the classes on the Republic side. The little droid was one of the very first companions that came back. He appeared in Chapter 3 of Knights of the Fallen Empire and was available to all classes.

In general, while all companions are roughly equal, Shae Vizla is considered the strongest damage companion followed by any dual-wielding lightsaber companions including the now-retired Master Ranos, Ashara or Veeroa Denz, then by dual-wielding blaster pistol companions like Theron, Vette. It's why War On Iokath pulled the two sides back to conflict with each other so quickly, leaving the whole 'Order of Zildrog' mess that was meant to be the third expansion as just a bunch of flashpoints while the rest of the galaxy decided to forget about Zakuul and move on to building up their forces and paving the way for Jedi Under Seige and Onslaught Long answer: Like any company serving the public, they have to decide what their customers want the most and where to put the main emphasis to encourage customer engagement. The first is by taking them along while questing, and choosing options they agree with during cutscenes. It makes them craft and gather faster, as well as makes them more likely to get rare materials when they go gathering, or have a higher chance to craft an extra item or an augmented item when crafting. Right now it feels like most companions are just there and don't do anything or have a reason to be there until the plot is like "oh yeah we forgot about you. Do I have proof for my claim? I agree completely! This eventually led to the game going quite quickly to F2P and the Cartel Market invention. I just assumed since SWTOR is "going back to their roots" with Onslaught then they'd probably focus on the class-specific companions plus Theron and Lana It would probably be a ton of work for the devs but I wish we could get an equal amount of companion content. Ah, I hadn't thought of that.

Please help improve this if you can.

Is there a list of companions who give you quests? Posted November 29, These include:. So question is how do I know If I've gotten alll the companion story quests finished? Don't have an account? So, unless the companion was part of the story, they were just simply 'made' Existing user? How would you like the devs to handle said content? Perhaps, the companions you're able to talk to depend on who you sided with in Onslaught? Sci-fi Star Wars. Well said … Nice to know that this thread.. Each character had a comp who had a personal quest you could complete. I assume some missions were already coded, but for consistency, they left them all out.
