By Vansh Mehra. After season 4 ended in , fans have been clamoring for the Star Wars Rebels Season 5 release date. They ignited the sparks to begin the rebellion against the Empire. But after the ambiguous ending of Season 4, will the crew return in a fifth season? There is no release date for the fifth season of Star Wars Rebels , as its story continues in the latest Ahsoka series on Disney Plus. But with the success of The Mandalorian, all plans that Dave Filoni had for the Rebels characters were shifted to live-action, with Ahsoka Tano also making her live-action debut.

The visual style of the series is inspired by the original Star Wars trilogy concept art by Ralph McQuarrie. The series comprises four seasons. The new Star Wars show picks up with the same mission teased at the end of the animated series. While folks like Bo-Katan and Cad Bane, who first appeared on cartoon shows like The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels , have had significant storylines on The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett , they've had to operate on series headlined by people who originated in the live-action space. All that is about to change on Ahsoka. The final scene depicted a time jump in which Ashoka and Sabine Wren embark on a mission to find their force-wilding friend Ezra Bridger , who sacrificed himself to be zapped through hyperspace alongside the villainous Grand Admiral Thrawn to parts unknown. Here's what viewers can expect from Star Wars Rebels season 5 if the acclaimed Disney series were to ever return for another outing. Bridger ran with the Ghost crew - an assortment of rebels trying to take down the Empire. The series saw them take on various antagonists such as Inquisitors, Grand Admiral Thrawn, and even Darth Maul - who became one of Star Wars ' most tragic characters thanks to Rebels. While Star Wars Rebels season 4 was thought to be the conclusion of the show, it ended with a few questions still up in the air, notably the whereabouts of Ezra who disappeared when taking down Thrawn in the finale. Star Wars Rebels offered audiences an alternative look into the action they knew from the original trilogy. As Hera says in the finale, " I t was a simple story about a boy who was lost and a girl who was broken. As the remaining members of the Ghost entered new chapters in their lives, they did so separately. Zeb found a home; Hera started a family.
