We are lucky to enjoy a beautiful course that is playable virtually all year round. We aim to go out of our way to make each new member to the section very welcome. The course, clubhouse and Pro Shop have all benefitted, in the last eighteen months, from substantial investment by our new proprietor, so I feel lucky to be part of a super club at an exciting time. Thursdays are more often for individual competitions, medals and major competitions. Members register to play these competitions on the Intelligent Golf App and are allocated tee times, ensuring that they find themselves playing with lots of different golfers, getting to know a full range of Seniors quickly. The turnout is currently about 60 to 70 on most occasions, teeing off from soon after 8am. Keen local rivalries add spice to matches with Lydney and Forest of Dean. During the Winter months we still play qualifying Monthly medals, and also a Singles knock-out and a Hi-Low Pairs series.
