He narrates the events that led up to it: yesterday, he was relaxing in his backyard when SpongeBob distracted him with digging a hole in his backyard. SpongeBob explains that he is making a spongebob pool episode and invites Squidward to join when it is finished.

It is a pool with a brown shed, red chairs, and blue water. It has gray outsides made out of bricks with torches outside of it. It also has a tub on top with a waterfall. Squidward lays face down in the pool and starts to recall the events that led to this moment. SpongeBob is digging a hole in his backyard, which disturbs his relaxation. He tells Squidward about the pool he is building and invites him to swim when it is finished. Squidward scoffs at the idea and goes back to relaxing.

In this short, SpongeBob learns about global warming. In the beginning of the short, SpongeBob is on his way to work when he spots a large factory pipe mounted on the Krusty Krab 's roof. Inside is a parked boat pumping carbon dioxide up into the pipe and out into the atmosphere. Krabs explains to SpongeBob that he is using global warming to his own advantage, creating an "Endless Summer" and allowing him to open a year-round Krusty Krab pool. However, SpongeBob has a plan to create a more effective endless summer. Later, Mr. Krabs is seen in his office, playing with tiny wax figurines of himself and a customer of the Krusty Pool.
