About Us. Sparkling Paws is family owned and operated by Allison and Joseph Cunningham. In addition to Allison and Joseph, the Sparkling Paws family consists of two mix breed dogs , Nala and Dobby, and a tiny human Lillian. Allison is the groomer of the family with almost 20 years of experience working with dogs and a self proclaimed dog nerd. She started her career working in various kennels and shelters to gain knowledge and experience. Being drawn to the training aspect of working with dogs, she pursued schooling for dog training and became a certified trainer with Animal Behavior College in and took that education and experience to various daycare and boarding facilities. While working as a dog daycare group play attendant and trainer, grooming caught her interest. Moving on from boarding facilities, she managed a popular dog grooming salon for over a year. Overseeing group play was a passion she had trouble straying away from so she took a position as a groomer at a daycare facility. Continuing to expand her grooming knowledge and experience she worked closely with a very experienced groomer soaking in everything she could. Using her combined knowledge of dog behavior, training and grooming, Allison wanted to give her furry clients a more personalized and one on one grooming experience… and Sparkling Paws was born in ! After working for over 10 years as carpenter, Joseph decided to pursue education for his passion, working on cars. He graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute in as an automotive technician.

We also offer a Homebound Paws Service. She believes that the faster we grow, sparkling dog groomers, the faster we can give back. She was able to free up some time to cut my yorkies hair.

All grooming packages include ear cleaning, nail trimming and finish with a bow or bandana. Bath: bathing and drying with light brushing.
