In your opinion do soundboards actually work? The joists were stuffed with Rockwool then boarded with sonopan, sonopan.

Several people recommended Sonopan, a Canadian product that comes in 4x8 sheets. Tack it onto the rafters, then screw the sheetrock over the Sonopan, and it's supposed to help a lot.

If you have lots of time and wish to experiment with different techniques and unknown materials, please do so! Many people have made the errors mentioned here and some have been kind enough to pass them on to us for inclusion. Please feel free to contribute! There are many experts doing work in this field. Most provinces require them to be licensed. At least read everything on our website, including the other blogs we have written or even the product data sheets we have listed on each product page. With so many different types of soundproofing materials, some of them get overlooked. There are obvious options for people to choose from, but SONOpan is picking up steam as a great competitor! SONOpan is a Canadian company that offers soundproofing panels for residential and commercial buildings. In a world with high expectations and a lot of promises from companies, SONOpan has scored well over the decades while on the market. It can absorb a variety of sound frequencies. It all works because of small impressions made in each panel to create an uneven density with the panels. With so many different densities, it can absorb different sound waves throughout time.

If you google "Reflexor", you'll see more product details I can't post links yet because my account is still under 5 posts. I believe by making a soundproof wall, it is absorbing quite a bit of the sound emanating from the dust collector. Seems like a glitch in the system where I somehow created 2 accounts.
