SSU currently has 19 active chapters. The most important part about Greek life is philanthropy, each chapter organizes fundraisers in order to help a nonprofit. Throughout the year they raise money for them by helping coach running teams and volunteer at the GOTR 5k each semester. They hold an event every year called War of Roses which is a two day event where all Pi Kapps ride stationary bikes for 24 hours in order to raise money for their philanthropy. Fraternities and sororities look a little bit different here than other schools.

Throughout our time at Sonoma State, Alpha Xi Delta has developed strong ties within our community and provided support for women and children in need. Our Philanthropy, The Kindly Hearts Initiative, serves as the umbrella to our philanthropic focus of supporting children and teens experiencing foster care or homelessness. Alpha Xi Delta chapters across the country have the opportunity to support key impact organizations making a national or regional impact. These chapters collaborate with local organizations that provide support for children and teens experiencing homelessness.

Sororities at SSU are part of the Greek Life community on campus, which is made up of a variety of organizations including fraternities, sororities, and professional societies. Sororities at SSU are groups of women who come together to form a sisterhood and engage in social, academic, and philanthropic activities. SSU currently has four sororities on campus, each with its own unique characteristics and values. These sororities are:.
