The Solaire of Astora figure is the first and only amiibo figure released as part of the Dark Souls: Remastered series. His face is covered by a great helm that has a red feather attached to the side. Solaire of Astora is a knight serving under the Warriors of Sunlight, a co-op focused covenant in Dark Souls. First encountered in the Undead Parish area, Solaire of Astora is determined to find "his very own sun" and gives the player the "White Sign Soapstone" item that enables the player to summon allies as phantoms to help on their journey, including Solaire himself. During today's Nintendo Direct it was confirmed that Dark Souls: Remastered will be getting its own amiibo. Solaire of Astora - one of the most popular characters from the entire Souls series - will be immortalised in plastic form, complete in his iconic "Praise the Sun" pose. Using the amiibo in-game will allow your character to perform this pose, encouraging all kinds of jolly co-operation with other 'Sunbros'. It was also confirmed that a network test will take place before launch, allowing Switch owners to try out the game before they buy - and presumably give Bandai Namco and FromSoftware some advance warning of any potential online performance issues.
