The Dragonborn encounters some Alik'r warriors in search of a Redguard woman. They must choose whether to believe the warriors, and return the woman to custody, or trust the fugitive, and kill her pursuers. Either option offers a decent monetary reward. A group of men calling themselves the Alik'r are looking for a Redguard woman in Whiterun. At any time after starting the main quest " Dragon Rising ," the Dragonborn will encounter Alik'r Warriors on the roads of Skyrim or at the entrance to Whiterun, arguing with the town guard for entry to the city. When asked, they will explain that they are searching for a Redguard woman , who is a refugee from Hammerfell.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is known for its immersive open world, plethora of quests, and tons of secrets to uncover. While Skyrim's quests might not be as in-depth as other RPGs, the game does a great job of encouraging players to explore the landscape Bethesda has built. One quest that breaks from this mold is the "In My Time of Need" quest. This quest asks players to look for a missing Redguard woman, but players quickly realize that the situation isn't clear cut. Both parties have conflicting stories, so it's up to the player on who to trust. Completing this questline is rather simple, but it can branch out a surprising number of times. When players walk into Whiterun during the main story, they have a high probability of encountering two Alik'r Warriors searching for a lost Redguard woman. Talking to them will start the questline, with both warriors asking the player to help them find the missing woman. If players miss their first encounter with the Alik'r in Whiterun, they will randomly patrol Skyrim near the roads of Whiterun. Patrol around the outskirts of the town to find them. Looking for the missing Redguard is incredibly easy. She resides in Whiterun and works in The Bannered Mare. Walk inside and find a Redguard working at the pub named Saadia. Talking to her and telling her of the Alik'r Warriors will prompt her to move upstairs to hold a private conversation.

Some quests in Skyrim offer players a choice, which usually determines the result of the questline at the end. Whiterun is one of the first major places a player goes in Skyrim , and it's home to a decent amount of quests that ask the player to do more than simply "go here and kill this guy". The quest "In My Time Of Need" is one of these choice-driven quests whose outcome is entirely determined by the player's actions. Though the questline is rather extensive, and can be made even longer depending on the player's path, "In My Time Of Need" is a pretty easy quest to start, assuming one has made it out of Helgen. One sees the player side with the Redguard fugitive Saadia and help her mislead the Alik'r warriors hunting her down. The other path sees the player turn Saadia into the Alik'r warriors for her supposed betrayal in the faraway land of Hammerfell. Both options give players the same reward of gold even though their results couldn't be more different.

Talking to Saadia back at The Bannered Mare will grant a Gold reward and her thanks for killing the mercenaries. She currently works for Hulda at the Bannered Mare, but claims she is a noblewoman of the province of Hammerfell, House Suda , and her real name is Iman. This will allow you to go back to Saadia and let her know that she won't be further troubled, and you can complete the quest without turning her in. Go to The Bannered Mare. If the questline is abandoned for a month or so Skyrim time , both of the original Alik'r warriors may appear dead and naked just inside the Whiterun gates.
