Hey I've just started a new game as I died in my last one, and I've decided to finally do the CoW quests. I created my character and realised she looked like a sweet innocent breton, so I don't think she should be wielding melee weapons or shooting fireballs. I'd like some help making an Illusion, Conjurer build, perhaps with bound bow and robes as equipment.

I recently wrote about playing Skyrim as a pure mage , shunning weapons and other direct means of combat in favour of magic. But in my endless quest to find new ways to play Bethesda's immortal RPG, I wondered: what if I not only played as a mage, but dedicated myself entirely to one school of magic? There are five distinct spell types in Skyrim—Destruction, Restoration, Conjuration, Illusion, and Alteration—and they're all very different. But is it possible to play and enjoy the game using just one of them? The easiest option would be Destruction. This school offers up a selection of powerful offensive spells, including letting you pummel enemies with fireballs and ice spears. But that would be too easy and not terribly imaginative. I ruled Restoration and Alteration out too, because they're both focused on defensive and healing magic. Conjuration could have been fun, summoning snarling demons from the deepest Planes of Oblivion to do my evil bidding, but being able to magic up enchanted weapons felt like a bit of a cop out. So I settled on Illusion. This school of magic is centred around manipulating minds and making your character sneakier. It's handy for stealth-focused players—particularly spells like Calm, which temporarily prevents enemies from attacking you, and Invisibility, which is self explanatory.
Also I want to know what I should do at the begining of the game where to head, what city to do quests in as whenever I make a new character it seems to be so repetetive in that I clear embershard mine go to whiterun do bleak falls depending on build kill mirmulair and by then its hours lost doing what I've done 80 times I'm not even exaggerating I don't want to start CoW until a decent level Adept in my primarys area Skyrim illusion conjuration build help would be hugely appreciated, skyrim illusion conjuration build.
Having never really delved into a truly evil build Mythic Dawn is pretty evil though that incorporates raising the dead, I wanted to give it a go. After some really fun experimentation and continuous changing of my build concept from Illusionist, to Magician, to Conjuration Mage, I fell into something really devious. This build has been a work that has put a smile on my face every time I play it. It combines some of the most powerful schools of magic into a cohesive idea of being an evil, necromantic warlord that strikes fear into all his opponents through the use of illusion and raising the dead. The Fearmonger is a master illusionist and necromancer that allows for constantly fleeing enemies with undead minions in hot pursuit, a la "giving chase". With the addition of Dawnguard, both Conjuration and Restoration get some additional spells that work nicely together.

These are two of the more useful Magic scholls that are viable all on their lonesome. So yes they are viable together. Tho I'd say archery may be better, depending on your armor sit.

But the true power of the skyrim mage comes not just from burning, freezing, electrifying and blowing away the draugr scum infesting your homelands, but from the versatile and creative opportunities afforded by a carefully built mage dovahkiin. Levitating objects, paralysing your foes, wrapping yourself in dragonhide, repelling the undead and conjuring powerful allies can make you an unstoppable force. The links below are a jump menu. What do you need help on? The Mind Molder The mind molder was my idea for a mage who used absolutely no damaging spells, and relied simply on manipulating the battlefield to his advantage from afar. Conjuration is always viable. I do like to keep it 'pure', so my archer will never cast a fireball and my caster will never whip out a sword or bow. I know someone out there could probably tell me what order to take perks to be most effective or how to fully take advantage of the boosts, but I took perks as they came and it is extremely, extremely powerful. He whispered a prayer to Talos, and rammed his own knife into his chest, killing himself. Incinerate is good for higher levels of play. Once you escape Helgen, immediately get to the mage stone. Also If you want to spare gold on spells I advise you to explore "The Midden" under the College and learn the secrets of the Atronach Forge. Date Posted: 15 Jun, am.
Mage Skills in Skyrim , despite being utterly essential to Magicka-based classes and character builds, are some of the hardest to level up. For the most part, that's because they simply aren't used often enough: one Alteration skill use for some Mage Armor before combat, when Alteration doesn't level any faster than a multi-use school like, say, Destruction , means your level's going to increase at an absolute crawl.
In the beginning I'll obviously need alteration to up my armor, but I'll eventually wind up wearing plate just for the aesthetics. Hmm I like the idea and the presentation but I don't think you've pulled it off extremely well. Playing on Legendary. On a side note, with some firewood you can upgrade the basic Longbow and with some Leather Stripes the Hunting Bow so you will have a proper weapon at the begining of your adventure. The other great addition is the ability to turn into a Vampire Lord. I've done a similar build some time ago, but he results to don't need illusion, so I've changed it. Hiding is for the scared, and you are the essence of fear. The imperials are no better then the Thalmor, kill them too. Where is the best place to sell your stuff? Race : Altmer work the best, as they start with a high bonus to illusion, extra magicka, and have the Highborn ability to regenerate their magicka. I also want to mention my stat distribution as I get that question a lot. At the beginnig you could travel to a city, starts living in it, do some quest here and make some money too. To level faster Conjuration stand in front of the mage statue in Winterhold and cast Soul Trap on a corpse, this is a glitch but very useful if you wish to powerlevel your skill. I created my character and realised she looked like a sweet innocent breton, so I don't think she should be wielding melee weapons or shooting fireballs.
You are not right. I am assured. I can defend the position. Write to me in PM, we will discuss.
