Skyrim dawnguard vampire or dawnguard
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is an action RPG that permits players the chance to shape their character's very own story. Much of what makes Skyrim so engaging is the countless multiple-choice scenarios the game forces onto the Dragonborn and the freedom it gives players to align themselves with different factions. As part of Skyrim 's Dawnguard DLC , the player is forced to decide whether they should join the Dawnguard faction and become a Vampire-hunter or side with Harkon and become a Vampire Lord. While both routes come with unique perks and bonuses, one is arguably better than the other. If players decide to join the Dawnguard, they will gain access to Fort Dawnguard and will be able to interact with most of the members who reside there. They will also gain access to a variety of unique weapons and armor sets that Vampires simply do not have access to. Joining the Dawnguard grants players regular access to Crossbows. Though it's easy to acquire a Crossbow as a Vampire, the only way to obtain the superior Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow is to side with the Dawnguard. Not only that, but being a member of the Dawnguard also allows players to purchase and craft Dwarven Bolts and Exploding Dwarven Bolts ; Vampires do not have this option. Dawnguard members can also recruit Armored Trolls to serve as followers, an option unavailable to those who sided with Harkon and his legion of Vampiric followers. If the Dragonborn sides with Harkon and agrees to become a Vampire , they will not be able to enter Fort Dawnguard without the NPCs there becoming hostile. Because of this, they will lose out on several benefits of being a Dawnguard member, such as the freedom to purchase and craft Dwarven Bolts.
If players decide to join the Dawnguard, they will gain access to Fort Dawnguard and will be able to interact with most of the members who reside there. Work your way upriver to reach it.

This article is about the disease Vampirism, in particular the effects it has on the player. For NPCs who are vampires, see Vampire. Vampirism in Skyrim is a disease that transforms players infected with Sanguinare Vampiris into vampires: feared, blood-drinking creatures of the night. If the Dawnguard add-on is installed, and you have been granted vampirism from Serana or Lord Harkon, you will be able to transform into a powerful Vampire Lord with a lesser power. Initially, this is a normal disease that reduces your total health by 25 points and can be easily cured with a potion of Cure Disease , a Vigilant of Stendarr , or by visiting a shrine. At sunrise of the first day after contracting Sanguinare Vampiris , a message will appear saying "You feel strangely weakened by the sunrise". At sunset of that day, "You feel a strange thirst come over you". If the disease is not cured within three days, it will progress to full vampirism, and the effects can no longer be reversed with a normal cure see below. If Dawnguard is installed, you can also gain vampirism by letting Lord Harkon infect you during the Bloodline quest. Alternatively, you can activate the Bloodspring in Redwater Den or let Serana infect you, either at the end of the Chasing Echoes quest or after the core Dawnguard questline is complete.

From where you find Jiub, head directly south. With that in mind, players who wish for the Dragonborn to have permanent access to Castle Volkihar should choose to side with the Vampires; those who want to align themselves with a more trustworthy faction while also gaining access to better weapons should side with the Dawnguard. Once he takes a certain amount of damage, he will return to the center of the room and surround himself in a red healing aura. This drastically improves the power of beast form. Joining the Vampires does come with a few perks; however, as a Lord Vampire, the Dragonborn will be free to transform into a bloodthirsty monster whenever the player wishes. The Dawnguard side has more quests, and it can have more of a lasting effect on the game. They're both extremely poorly written and not very fun, especially since the second half of both paths is exactly the same, so I'd honestly just recommended not doing either. It's just the gameplay story-decision that always makes the most sense to me. Ask A Question.
