The last time that I rode a horse was an embarrassing pony ride at the zoo, and whilst everyone was watching, my pony decided to stop. And pee. I was apprehensive of having to ride a horse again, but all that fear melted away when we arrived at Samila Beach. The horses here are well taken care of and have ample shade and grass to graze on. Beachside stalls are available for light refreshments, with options like fizzy drinks and coconut juice.

For our day tour around Songkhla today, we booked a private car from our hotel for baht 9. We decided to get the ticket without the magic show at baht per adult. Our driver highly recommended Sirada Restaurant , complimenting it to be the best seafood restaurant in Songkhla!

The seafood is more cater for tourists, not so authentic Thai food. But the environment was great, can oversea Songkhla Lake, it is located at small island called Ko Yo, easily accessible by car through a bridge. Overall great stop for a lunch. Located in Koh Yo, Sirada is quite popular for tourist to the area. Had a chance for lunch there today and would say the restaurant has a nice setting on the lake over looking wooden bridges and fishermen's wharf. Food is fresh and tasty. The staff was very unprofessional, inattentive, and rude to us. We pretty much needed to self-serve the beverage. The gesture and behavior were also bad to us, making our visit really not something to remember. We will never visit this place again.

No worries, island I said, its accessible by car or MC so no worries here. Once you are here they have a huge car park and will assist you in park the car. Don't be put off by a car park full of cars as this is a very large restaurant but doesn't feel big inside as it is split up into different areas with lots of tables overlooking the huge lake. The service is good and the food great and not too expensive. I could be wrong, but the menu may be all in Thai so think up some favourites to ask for before you go just in case or point to the photos. The food are cheap!! At least it is worth a spend from your wallet compare to having a meal in Samila beach where it is expensive. Food are nice, but if you could read in Thai you will have more choice of the dishes to pick, because their English menu is just very general and limited choice of food. Sitting on the floating platform in Songhkla lake would definitely help open your appetite. The restaurant are not yet crowded with foreign traveller, it is still in a very decent price level, go before the owner are start to making money from the foreigner like those restaurant in Semilia Beach.

To crab lover, this is a place for lazy people who love to enjoy crab. Located just half an hour away from Samila Beach, Ko Yo Island is a small island inhabited by fishermen. Worth the travel to eat here. Crab fried rice - surprisingly the best dish we ordered hahaha. A little corner shop restaurant with air-conditioning. Won't mind coming back here again. Dining is quite close to the beach. Found a ledge to take this photo using my camera's timer function. Besides enjoying the sea breeze while eating, the prices are undoubtedly reasonable, making it a great place for a day trip out of the city.
