There are no Shrines in the Depths but there are Lightroots to discover that act as fast travel points similar to Shrines. Each shrine contains a mini-dungeon of puzzles to solve and loot including at least one Treasure Chest and a Light of Blessing. If you've retrieved the Treasure Chest from a Shrine, it's name will have "chest" marker beside it when you put your cursor over it on the map. In this TotK Shrine Guide you'll find walkthroughs for shrines, and most importantly, how to find and complete them across the two maps. Some shrines are hidden in caves or even off the map, locked away by a shrine quest. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an incredible game, both in terms of critical acclaim and sheer size. Few aspects of Link's latest sprawling adventure exemplify this as well as the sheer number of shrines - miniature dungeons focused solely on puzzle solving. Finding all of the shrines in Breath of the Wild is a massive undertaking, especially when you take time to consider that many of the shrines are hidden. Fortunately, we here at Nintendo Life have invested a great deal of time in uncovering every single shrine you can find in Hyrule. We've sorted all of the shrines by the section of the map they're located on. As you may already know, you can unlock additional sections of the world map by climbing towers and activating them using Link's Sheikah Slate. Because of that, we've decided to list each shrine belonging to a tower's map section below, along with handy screenshots showing where you can find each of these. It should be easy to walk through each area and find all of the shrines. Below that, you'll find some basic details or even some more detailed stuff for the trickier shrines in the group. And if you're wondering what amiibos work with the game, our guide to All amiibo Unlocks lists them all. If you are just using your Sheikah Sensor, you might find yourself on top of the Forgotten Temple. However, the shrine itself is located down below within the temple. The entrance of the temple is a bit further south from where the sensor points you to. Once you enter the Temple, you can just paraglide across the entire temple. The temple is filled with stationary Guardians and their lasers can deal some serious damage. While it is possible to just take them out, one by one, it is also possible to just paraglide right across.
From Rin Oyaa shrine near Snowfield stable, head southeast to arrive at the top of a deep canyon. Descend into the canyon, and you likely will arrive at the roof of the Forgotten Temple. Head along the canyon toward the southwest, and you will find that it drops sharply, toward the canyon's true floor. As you descend, look for a hole in the temple wall, which you can enter. Make your way through the temple to reach the shrine. Browse the gallery for the precise location. When you enter the Forgotten Temple, you need to be prepared for a struggle. As you cross, mostly on high ledges, you'll have to deal with numerous Guardian statues that activate and try to hit you with their lasers.
