People said we should set up traps to deal the most possible damage to monsters when they are sleeping, but I don't know how to gather it, I only know there are explosive barrels in this game so far, but I don't even know how to make it explode. IMO, not worth using super early on though since early bosses don't have the super rare drops you're aiming for with traps and you might as well get more combat time in to learn how to use your weapons.

Tranquilizers can also be safely applied to sleeping monsters without waking them. Capturing a Monster will complete either a Hunt or a Capture objective for it and result in a few more Quest rewards to compensate for the inability to gather Materials from its body. Once placed on the ground, a Trap can be removed by approaching it and interacting with it; this will destroy the Item.
