We've currently tested over 25 Shark vacuums. Shark manufactures homeware goods like irons and mops in addition to vacuums. Unlike other brands like Samsung or BISSELL, which focus on a limited range of vacuum designs, Shark offers a little bit of everything, including robot vacuums, secondary handheld configurations, and corded and cordless designs. Their vacuums come at various prices, so you can find something that fits your budget. For more recommendations, check our articles for the best vacuums for stairs , the best vacuum cleaner brands , and the best car vacuums. The best Shark vacuum we've tested is the Shark Stratos Cordless. It's the flagship model in Shark's lineup of cordless stick vacuums, so it'll come as no surprise that it's loaded with a variety of convenience features. This includes its Clean Sense IQ system, which uses infrared sensors to measure how much debris is being sucked into the dustbin and allows the vacuum to adjust its suction power as necessary. It also features an odor-neutralizing system that works via a replaceable cartridge in its floorhead, which emits a detergent-like scent as you clean. The vacuum's folding wand makes it easy to clean under most furniture since you won't have to crouch deeply, and it reduces its vertical footprint when stowed away. It has the newest iteration of Shark's DuoClean twin-roller floorhead, comprised of a soft roller and a finned multi-surface roller. Unfortunately, despite being advertised as self-cleaning, pet hair can still get trapped in the floorhead. Since this primary brushroll isn't removable, it can be a nuisance to clean. This vacuum can run for up to an hour on a charge, which is good by the standards of other cordless vacuums.

Was easy to assemble and charge up Light weight. Amazon's Choice. If I had any gripe about this vacuum, it would be that the head isn't as low profile as the cheapies I've owned, so getting under the china hutch or the table pedestal isn't going to happen. Upon first usage, it felt a bit flimsy and like it would have a weak suction , but I haven't had any issues with vacuuming up anything from pet hair It wasn't doing great still good yesterday, so I flipped it over and seen the roller was wrapped with hair I shed as much as the dogs do! However, it shares a common downside: this primary brushroll isn't removable. The system is used in Vertex upright and stick models. Try adjusting your filters. Vacuum Cord Type: Cordless. Battery Powered. The suction is automatic , so when I'm rolling over rugs, it sucks harder than when I'm on the hardwoods Back to top. Another feature worth mentioning is the self-cleaning brush roll. It has a detachable battery so you can buy additional batteries to fit any home size. The vacuum's folding wand makes it easy to clean under most furniture since you won't have to crouch deeply, and it reduces its vertical footprint when stowed away. If you want to avoid running out of charge, the Shark Rocket Corded is a good substitute, albeit one that feels more cheaply built and doesn't perform quite as well overall. The upholstery option which is just like the crevice tool with a brush head did remove some of the hair from my couch but struggled to pick up the short hair. Customers also disagree on the value and battery life of the cleaner. That one got the job done for what I needed it for. With proper expectations, this is a fantastic product. Also, wanted to add something as I was finally confident enough to recycle the packaging the vacuum came in: I have to point out the packaging is quite impressive as it is entirely paper based, which is such a welcome relief given the amount of plastics I get just from ordering a take out meal.
